Town Meeting 2024 Information

• The Town of Hanover's Special and Annual Town Meeting will be held in person on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Hanover High School, located at 287 Cedar Street. Special Town Meeting will begin at 7:00 PM , and the Annual Town Meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM.
• Town Meeting registration is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
• You must check in prior to entering the meeting rooms and you must be a registered Hanover voter and physically present to participate in Town Meeting.
• Childcare services will be provided by Hanover High School students on-site.
• The auditorium and gymnasium, linked by audio/visual capabilities, will accommodate the expected number of attendees.
• Attendees are asked to carpool if possible. Additional handicapped parking spaces will be made available near the high school's front entrance.
• If the Town Meeting takes more than one night to complete, it will most likely continue at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. The decision as to when and where the meeting will continue is made by the vote of the Annual Town Meeting attendees.
• Town Meeting will not be accessible via Zoom, but viewers may watch live on the Town of Hanover's social media channels and on Hanover Community Television.

Childcare Services

As we prepare for the upcoming Hanover Town Meeting, we invite those in need of childcare services to please preregister their child(ren). Although preregistration is not mandatory and walk-ins are welcome, it will greatly assist us in making necessary accommodations for all attendees. Hanover High School National Honor Society students will offer childcare services from 6:00 PM until the conclusion of the meeting. Childcare will take place in Hanover High School's Media Room (room 125). Signage will be provided as you enter the building.

Parking and Accessibility

Parking will be available at both Hanover High School and Cedar Elementary School parking lots. Additional handicapped parking spaces will be accessible at the front and rear entrances of the high school.
