COVID-19 Community Test Criteria
- Symptomatic Resident – Home Bound, Bed Bound, Non-Ambulatory
- Symptomatic Resident deemed to be part of “at-risk” population
- Symptomatic Town of Hanover Critical Infrastructure Employee or their Immediate Household Members
- Asymptomatic Town of Hanover Critical Infrastructure Employee or their Immediate Household Members determined to be “Close Contact”
- School Faculty, Staff, Student or Immediate Household Members determined to be “Close Contact” as a result of participation in non-school sanctioned event or gathering
- Critical Infrastructure Employee or Immediate Household Members determined to be “Close Contact” as a result of participation in non-town government-sanctioned event or gathering
- Resident determined to be “Second Degree Close Contact” (contact of a contact)
- Resident requesting test for travel-related reasons
- Resident requesting test for business-related reasons
- Returning College Students (asymptomatic/non-close contact/no direct link to public schools)
References
- Symptomatic: Not limited to – Fever, Chills, Cough, Sore Throat, Loss of Smell/Taste, Shortness of Breath, Muscle/Body Aches, Headache.
- Close Contact: You are a close contact of a COVID-19 positive person if you were within 6 feet of them, for at least 10-15 minutes, while they were symptomatic or within the 48 hours before symptom onset.
- Second Degree Close Contact: You are a second-degree close contact if you were within 6 feet of a verified close contact (see above) for at least 10-15 minutes. You had no direct contact with the COVID-19 positive person.
