Posted on: July 19, 2019 - 2:59pm
HEMA continues to monitor the extreme heat and the impacts to the residents of our town. We ask that you limit outdoor activities during extreme heat and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Please take the time to check on your neighbors, especially those who are elderly or may be more vulnerable to the heat. If you or someone you know is having a heat related emergency please dial 911. HEMA is prepared to open a cooling center should the need arise. The cooling center, if opened, will be located at the Hanover Senior Center, 665 Center Street.
Notification that a cooling center has been opened will be posted on the Town of Hanover website and Town of Hanover social media platforms.
